  • The Art of Seeing

    In a world overflowing with images, how do you break through the noise and communicate your vision?

  • PHOTO LAB Working Group

    PHOTO LAB is a live, two-hour online workshop group consisting of a small, diverse group of photographers from around the world that meet on the first-tuesday of each month. The group is assigned a unique photography challenge each month, which they shoot individually. The following month we share, review and discuss the work in a creatively supportive and focused environment.

    WHO IS IT FOR? If you’re handy with your camera but need a little inspiration, this is the workshop for you.

    PREREQUISITES: Participants should be comfortable with the technical aspects of manual photography, be familiar with Adobe Lightroom and have an earnest desire to develop their creative skill set.

  • iPhone Photography

    The best camera in the world is the one that’s with you. In this hands-on weekend workshop you will learn how to elevate your iPhone photography from casual snapshots to frame-worthy personal images.

    Topics include: highlighting your subject, framing and composition, using light and shadow to create mood and depth, editing and more.

  • Photography 1: The Camera

    This course introduces beginners to the creative and technical possibilities of digital photography. Through demonstrations and hands-on sessions, students learn the basics of using cameras and imaging software to produce digital photographs. Topics include camera operation, shutter speed, aperture, focal length, RAW file formats, white balance, and composition.

    Using Adobe Lightroom, participants also delve into file management, image enhancement, and printing. Lectures on historical and contemporary artwork explore creative approaches to photography, and assignments build photographic skill sets.

  • Photography II: Adobe Lightroom

    In this class, participants build upon the skills learned in Photography I Online, and learn image organization and image adjustments in Adobe Lightroom. Topics include how to create a catalog, importing and exporting photographs, creating a system for managing image files and an introduction to adjusting images using the developing module.

    Through hands-on assignments and critique sessions, students receive conceptual and aesthetic feedback on their work, explore photographing with natural light, camera flash and various lens options.

    Prerequisite: Photography I, or, you have an understanding of aperture, shutter speed, white balance, exposure modes, using a histogram, metering modes and how to control the focus.

    *This class requires a DSLR or Mirrorless Camera and the Adobe Lightroom Classic software.
