I meant to post this a few weeks back but thanks to my lack of anything resembling a decent attention span it slipped through the cracks. Thankfully, a fellow shooter sent me a reminder so I'm putting this together late on Superbowl Sunday - and yes, I'm a pixel geek with no life. Now stop laughing at me.
I'm a Canon boy at heart but I'd be lying if I told you I didn't secretly have a little side crush on the Nikon D4. Maybe it's the full-frame, 16.2 megapixel sensor or the ultra quick 51-point AF system - something Canon would do well to study - or it could just be that it looks like something Darth Vader would use. I don't quite know - but it's awesome.
Back in early January, Joe McNally did a stellar write-up of his experience working with the Nikon D4 during his shoot for the marketing campaign. If you know anything about Joe, you know he loves his toys (especially when he gets them for free) and he put this one through its paces. You can get a great look at how it all went down in this amazing behind the scenes video, courtesy of Joe McNally Photo. Click the link below the video to read his breakdown.
Pretty sweet, right? Before you plunk down $6,000 for one check out his blog post for more details.
