My friend Ryan Koo runs NoFilmSchool.com, a fantastic blog and a great resource for filmmakers. Recently, he slam-dunked a Kickstarter campaign to fund his feature film project MAN CHILD. Ryan plans to shoot the film on the Scarlet and recently he took one out for a test drive. I thought this would be a fitting follow up to yesterday's post about Philip Bloom and the Canon C300. The footage is (you guessed it) amazing and there's a fairly detailed summary of how the camera performed on what appeared to be a pretty chilly Brooklyn morning. Those of you looking for details on the ins and outs of actually putting this beast to work will enjoy his post.
Ryan has a knack for moody, soulful imagery. His award-winning work has kept him at the top of the top talent industry short list for a few years now. After you watch this you'll see why. What he calls 'test footage' most people would submit to SXSW.
Check out the short and his review here. When you're done, be sure to subscribe to his blog - you'll be glad you did.
If you dig his style, check out another great piece of Ryan's award-winning work, THE WEST SIDE.
